Metal Core PCB with Round Edges for Industrial Lighting Industry

Metal Core PCB assembly A client from the industrial lighting industry contracted Andrew Technologies, Inc. to assemble a series of metal core printed circuit boards possessing round edges. In order for round PCBs to be processed by our automated assembly equipment, the units needed to be manufactured in a breakaway panel with straight edges. The difficulties with this project occurred when the PCBs supplied by our customer arrived to our facility in error as single round units.

Though this oversight did cause difficulties, Andrew Technologies was able to overcome this obstacle by working closely with our client to design carrier trays that would accommodate our equipment. By producing these carrier trays, Andrew Technologies was able to employ our automated assembly machinery and finish the job for this client without having to perform time-consuming hand assembly operations or scrapping our client's original PCB units. This solution saved our customer valuable production time and money!
